About this game

Have you ever wanted to run your own coffee shop?

The smell of fresh roast beans, the gurgling of the espresso machine, the sheen of a squeaky-clean counter... All this and more await you in this quirky sim game!

Just set up your tables and counter seats, and wait for the customers to come rolling in. Add handy features like magazine racks, or chic furnishings to give your cafe a more welcoming atmosphere.

Coffee and tea are just the beginning—there's a whole world of hot and cold drinks out there just waiting to be discovered! Try out different combinations to make your regulars happy, or attract new customers. You can even recommend your favorites via the Specials Board.

Feel like a little something on the side? Combine food items with drinks to create Combo Meals. These can also be entered into contests—pick the right meal for the right theme, and you're sure to win it big and make your cafe even more popular!

You're not just limited to one town, either. You can move your cafe to several new locations and discover new customers. You may even encounter some familiar faces...

So, what are you waiting for? Grab an apron, boil up some water, and get started on your journey to becoming a five-star cafe!

The only issue I have with this game is that it is way too simple and risk-free; the 'Develop Dish' feature becomes repetitive after the first few tries, and you are pretty much always guaranteed to make a profit every month, removing the complexity that managing and adapting to financial losses can bring (like in other Kairosoft games). This game is likely more styled towards those who like less challenging gameplay. Other than that, it's a pretty solid play for the first few ingame years.

Lacks customization. In Cafe Nipponica you can at least change the style of the floors, walls and store front when you wish, at well as own multiple restaurants at once. The food development process is extremely slow on normal speed and in general doesn't make much sense. Each time you want to develop a drink to increase its stats you start from zero instead of the level it's at. Gameplay is boring, not much to do. This one is just not for me.

Not my favourite game from this developer. I progressed to my second cafe but tbh, progress was a bit slow, only playing an hour or so a day, and it wasn't as addictive as some of their others. Also it's a bit awkward, not being and to see at a glance what ingredients make what drinks, which can result in a lot of wasted research, plus some of the recipes are just silly, mixing coffee, tea and sparkling water, eh? Lol
