I can't speak to how much this assists with security, but from a user perspective this app is extremely disruptive. Recently I needed to get e-tickets from my email & couldn't because this app had placed a hold until I "rechecked". Without signal, this couldn't happen and so I couldn't access my tickets. I've had several experiences like the above. It seems to want to check indiscrimiately & prevents me using several MS apps when I need to. I'm probably going to have to delete the app.

As usual, not a well thought out/horrible Microsoft management product. It allows only one account to manage the device, breaking any additional AD logins for Teams or Email which also require device management. Next to that, it's once again a glorified data stealer of Microsoft to get access to data on your device it shouldn't have in the first place. This app has no right/use-case to access your media (photos & videos), contacts, etc.

This app is absolutely horrendous, I use my personal phone for work and ive had no issues in 3 years doing so, now all of a sudden they need access to my data from my personal phone, I know it says only work data but how do we know this, worst design ever I won't be installing it and will stick to company specific laptop. now direct access to emails on the move has been taken away great Microsoft 👍🏼
