About this app

Skip the calls, the queues, and the repeated GP visits.
Get it taken care of by your local Dears Pharmacy.
We’ve teamed up with our partners, Healthera to improve how you order your repeat prescriptions online from Dears Pharmacy. Install the app on your phone and follow the simple set up steps. Once you get the hang of it you’ll wonder why it was ever done the old way.
Our Dears Pharmacy App links with your local pharmacy and NHS GP surgery helping you to manage your medicines, order repeat prescriptions for your whole family and tell us which Dears Pharmacy you'd like to use. You can choose from a range of locations across the central belt of Scotland. You'll get a reminder of when to re-order your medicines from the App and you are able to track where your repeat prescriptions are up to anytime.
It's pretty simple. You can do everything from within the App...
Download and set up the Dears Pharmacy App.
Add your medication.
Order your prescription.
Receive an alert.
The Dears Pharmacy App also makes it easy to learn about and book one of over 100 healthcare services offered by our professional, highly qualified teams across Central Scotland. You can find out more and follow our easy booking process to choose a time and place that suits you from within the App. Our clinical team will do the rest.
FAQ
Q: Prescription refills - can I order prescriptions on behalf of my children or elderly parents?
A: Yes, this feature is now available! Go to the Me tab and it should be self-explanatory to add a dependent.
Q: Will you work with my GP?
A: Yes. The Dears Pharmacy App works with the majority of NHS GP’s in Scotland. All your prescription requests will be sent for approval to your own GP. (This doesn't guarantee your GP will issue a prescription)
Q: If I already order my prescriptions directly with my GP, do I still need your app?
A: It is helpful to use the Dears Pharmacy App. You can still order from your GP; the improvement is now that your pharmacy, via our app, will tell you when your medication is ready to collect or be delivered, and resolve any issues on behalf of you with your GP. You can also get free medication advice from your Dears Pharmacy with in-app messaging.
Q: What if my local pharmacy is not a Dears Pharmacy?
A: Any NHS pharmacy on the app are authorised to dispense your prescription medication. We recommend choosing the nearest Dears Pharmacy on the map that covers your area for delivery.
Q: Is my personal information safe?
A: Healthera has gone through rigorous assurance process with NHS Digital and NHS England and is GDPR compliant

The app is not linked to Dears, so ordered items are not cleared once they are dispensed. Get reminders for items I have recently ordered and collected. Totals held change on their own, resulting in early reminders, which, if put through ,esult in the order being rejected. Have contacted support at Healthera still awaiting response. Back in February was told once Dears and the Healthera app are synced all will be good. 6 mths on, still waiting. Dears and Healthera still not talking to each other
