If you wanted to try and learn Riichi Mahjong as a beginner or wanted to simply play some games for free? You've come to the right place! Think of the tiles like poker cards. You're trying to create a winning hand. Getting rid of 1s & 9s will help build towards 'All Simples'. You need 4 sequences and/or triplets with a pair to win to call Tsumo or Riichi. While the tutorial is passable and does cover some of the basics. You'll have a better time watching some guides on YouTube.

For someone who wants to get into mahjong, the in-game aid to help with making sure you know what to keep and discard as well as the multiple time options is very good for new players. I'm a bit annoyed that so many customizable options are bogged with the difficulty to get in-game currency and the high in store prices, but since most are cosmetic and don't affect the gameplay, it's a great game.

The tutorial doesn't go as far as it should to teach the basics of mahjong, but if you can stick with it this is a great app for playing: The UI is well built and presented, the artwork is nice, the events are novel, I haven't had a problem with this app at all. All the gacha in game content is cosmetic only and it can all be earned through regular play, though it takes a long time to do so. Even so, I am here for the tiles, not the anime. So it is aces for me.
