MULTI-MODEL FUSION FOR UNMATCHED ACCURACY
Why Does Ventusky Outperform Competitors? Ventusky’s algorithms integrate data from the world’s most advanced numerical weather prediction (NWP) systems, each renowned for specialized applications. In addition to the well-known ECMWF and GFS models, it also displays data from the German ICON model, which stands out for its high resolution covering the entire world. A wide range of high-precision local models is available. Some are updated as frequently as every 10 minutes based on radar and satellite readings, providing highly accurate real-time precipitation data. Ventusky automatically selects the most precise model for your location, but you can also compare them yourself.

I don't use my smartphone much— certainly not as a phone, more a pocket computer— but I use the web version every day, it's my first source for weather information. All the information I need to make my own prediction of today's weather is there (and the week ahead). So much more reliable that trusting the Met-Office's increasingly risk-adverse and dumbed down forecast. It could be improved in small ways, the animation can be a bit stop-start; for dodging a soaking on a showery day the netweather radar has a higher resolution; I would like a quick way to return the display to the current day and time. On the app a way to clear to location forecast would be useful, on a small screen it covers too much of the map, it's the map I really value not the forecast, I make my own forecast based on the map— this is SW England: will the cloud clear, when does the rain stop? I've paid for the premium version though everything I really need is there for free, it is a trivial sum and you deserve payment for such a useful app.

Hi, thank you for your great review. Regarding to a quick way to return the display to the current day and time: you can use a button next to the play button in the lower left corner. It quickly return a timeline to the begging.

Looks nice. The colour charts don't have a key, which almost renders them useless. They're on the web site. Edit: in view of the response from the developer, I think I've given too much weight to the lack of colour scale on an otherwise excellent app. I know about the option to display numbers directly on the map. I'd still prefer the option of a colour scale though.

Hi Dave, values are displayed directly on the map. There is no need for the scale.

This is by far the best weather app I've seen. You can view wind for example all the way up through the atmosphere so easy to view surface wind then view the 500mb chart. The way it shows air mass temperatures is brilliant, it's a great learning tool to understand how the weather works. If you are interested in a more in depth weather analysis this app is a no brainer.
