TP-Link Tapo

I'm really impressed with the Tapo security system. Researched both through Amazon and independent sites. Tapo had great results. Bought two. Easy to set up and install. Picture quality good. Both cameras have been in location for 3 days, and there's been hardly any battery used. Use SD cards for storage, so there is no cost for cloud storage. Would definitely recommend and are good value for the price.

The app is rubbish. 50% of the time I click on home or away and it fails to change the status. Same on both WiFi or 5G. I wouldn't have to do this manually if the geo fencing automation ever actually worked and activated or deactivated the cameras when I leave or return home. Response to reply... Not sure how I can send you a screenshot of the app not identifying I've left home with my phone. Other apps with the same setting like Nest perfectly adjust when I leave and return.

Great when it works. Nearly every time you want to check, you need to fully close the app and re-open from scratch as it doesnt refresh itself when you try to open it (on Android). Multiple failures to reboot the camera when black/white got stuck on, even when the mode clearly toggles OFF. Needed physical reboot.
