Just downloaded so I'm gonna give it a "from scratch" review which will be updated as I use it. Initially though, it's smooth and has an easy interface, with little if anything in the way of ads. I like how they keep "average" settings as a freebie, meaning you only cough up if you're snapping 1080p pics or doing a lot of clicks. All in all as a first 10 user (first 10 minutes having the app) I'm pleasantly surprised, given this genre's habit of mind numbing ads or blatantly fake gimmicks.

Thanks for the review - we are against invasive popup ads, so we choose not to use them. Instead, we value providing quality apps that can be taken seriously on a paranormal investigation, and many of our users that enjoy our app choose to get premium not only to take advantage of the advanced recording features, but to support us developers too!

Far too many false positives to be of any use on an investigation, I know it looks for human like shapes and interprets them as a stick figure, but that is basically software doing pareidolia. This app has seen human shapes in the following items: a vacuum cleaner, my dog, a chair, a shoe, a shower curtain, a pile of blankets, a table lamp (that one waved at me), among others. Basically it seems any object that isn't a flat square shape gets flagged. At least it's free though...

This is normal. SLS is designed to detect people so will also react to homogeneous objects like clothing etc. As an investigator you need to understand how your tools work when interpreting results and distinguish explainable triggers from those that are genuinely unexplained. Went to try it for myself because it looks promising and legit. It met my high expectations, it worked on all of my family members while I was recording them. The apps great, really entertaining and spooky. The functions are easy to use and easy to follow. The only thing I kind of did not like is that it doesnt detect people on the dark when I can clearly see my family members, is this a bug or a feature? (please let me know)

On iPhone's our app uses the LiDAR sensor to project an infrared grid and has some night vision capabilities. However, not all phones have LiDAR. In this case, we use dual lenses and camera depth sensors, when present to map depth. The person detection can work with or without depth, but your cameras will always need some light.
