I like this. I find I make the odd mistake, especially not noticing bishops, which I don't do on a real board, but I get a much better feel than on a 2d view. I prefer an oblique view to see what's going on. One problem is that you don't confirm each move, so any slip ends up in a move. Of course you can undo the move once the AI has moved but it kind of feels like cheating. I am not good. I can beat the "Normal" AI about 25% of the time at the moment. So it works for me.

A very pretty game that is also free. The issue that I have is the difficulty settings. Easy has the CPU making really silly sacrifices (Putting the queen at risk for a pawn) and the normal setting seems to be 4 or 5 moves ahead of yours. I'm only a beginner at chess but I found EASY to easy and NORMAL really hard. I think I will be looking for a more balanced game rather then sticking with this.

Could have been the best chess app, but as others have said. The easy level ( first of 5 levels) is too easy but the next level up 'normal' is unbeatable unless you are really good at chess....no graduation, which makes it a very frustrating short lived game. Wonderful graphics and beautiful music sets this game apart from others.....Shame...it could have been a real winner all round, in my opinion.
