About this app

You need a notification light / LED for your Pixel device?

With aodNotify you can easily add a notification light / LED to your Pixel phone!

You can select different notification light styles and show the notification light around the camera cutout, screen edges or even simulate an notification LED light dot in the statusbar of your Pixel device!

As the notification light is integrated in Pixel's Always On Display it has minimal battery consumption and doesn't drain your battery like other apps which keep your phone awake!

If you don't need the Always On Display, the app can also activate the Always On Display (AOD) only on notifications or show the notification LED light even without the Always On Display!

With the notification preview feature you can directly see if you have important notifications without waking your Pixel!

NOTES
• Google may block this app with future updates!
• Please check if the app is compatible before updating phone software or always on display!
• Altough we never experienced any screen burn in issues on our test devices, we recommend to not keep the notification light / LED active for a long time! Use at you own responsibility!

Disclosure:
The app uses the AccessibilityService API to display the notification light using an overlay over the screen.

Right up there with Nova as an indispensable Android customisation, this is one of my favourite things about my Pixel. The removal of the notification LED from many Android phones is a great loss, but this is a good replacement. I particularly enjoy the screen-edge flash - so modern! I do wish the flash could be made more abrupt though - the gentle throb is less obvious in the corner of your eye.

12th June - working again, hurrah! Update - still not working on 9th June and no explanation or contact from provider so wondering if they've given up on this app? Keeps stopping - I use the paid for version and until the last upgrade it worked perfectly. Now I keep getting alerts that it is stopping - so I'm beginning to lose trust in the product

I could get it to work as expected. It flashed but really dim. Then it only flashed for a couple of seconds even when I adjusted the time in settings. I paid for the upgrade, but still couldn't figure it out. Developers other app for notification island is amazing. But I've uninstalled this one. Couldn't see any way to reclaim the premium fee for this either?
