I've been using Polycam to scan objects for a variety of projects and it's never failed to deliver. Very fast and easy to use, and works great on android and iPhone devices with a good camera. iPhones also have the added benefit of LiDAR scanning for rooms and bigger areas, but object scanning works great on both. Highly recommended!

Gave 5 stars to get more photos , they kept failing , thought I'd try the pro package and it's just as bad 1/5 tend to actually process. Absolutely cancelled the subscription, how on earth do you think you can charge that much for a product that fundamentally isn't finished and crashes or outright fails all the time. I'm going to Avoid and check back in 6 months as it's a super cool and usefull idea except I'm unwilling to pay to be a beta tester right now.

Hi there, sorry to hear the scans were failing, and there can be a number of factors playing into that. In general, objects with reflective or transparent surfaces will be challenging for photogrammetry scans. It's also good to double check none of the photos have blur to them. Works well, but only when it does. A lot of the time a scan fails but still takes one of the free photo captures, Actually I'm only bothering to write this review because it tells you to do this to get more, and if you want any more than that you have to pay and overpriced subscription that doesn't even offer a free trial.
