i have never reviewed a damn thing on this app store, but in the year of 2025, this app has no ads, no music, no purchases, and is entirely offline. i truly appreciate the integrity of the developer, and i went out of my way to leave a review, as there arent any pop-ups asking you to. the tutorials and challenges are simple, clear, really got me from zero to adding five digit numbers. i havent done this much math since high school, and im thoroughly enjoying it.

It is as the name implies: a soroban (Japanese abacus), and works effectively as one. There's no excessive visual nor sound, not even online highscore, and those helps in streamlining the experience of practicing. Some challenges are available, also predetermined drills are abundant. Finally, there's randomized problems with customizations, making it a long-term companion for practicing arithmetic.

I love this app for so many reasons. Firstly, I wanted to learn how to calculate with an abacus after learning about how beneficial it is for developping mental math skills, but I couldn't find any ressources explaining how to do so. This app not only has simple step by step tutorials but its layout is incredibly user friendly! I like to practice during my commutes using the 'relax mode' feature. It even unlocks cute badges when you solve a certain number of problems. NO ADS + IT'S FREE!
