The game goes really quickly on day 1, then kinda plateaus. There's lots of loot being thrown at you and lots of missions, but the fighting is automatic, maidens are mostly luck-based and I seem to be stuck on mission 228 where it wants me to challenge someone to a tournament but hasn't given me the item required to do it, meaning i have to pay to progress. The game can be a bit addicting at first, but it seriously gets slow as you progress. Needs a bit of balancing.

Is the game free-to-play friendly? In some ways, yes. In some ways, no. The gameplay loop of obtaining more resources to better your characters to get more resources holds some attention. Though character stats and their effects aren't explained. This lack of explanation issue is prevalent throughout the game, I think. The main story can be completed without payment for additional resources, though there is grinding to do. Beyond that... most events are locked behind hard to obtain items and a paywall. The way events occur also seem a bit inconsistent. When I started there would be a handful, then only one, and now there seems to be almost a half a dozen at the same time. Building up characters to do as much damage as possible is a challenge. I would consider this to be the long term draw of the game: trying to boost the attack as high as possible. EDIT: there are oddities in the game. Notably the story. After the main arc it then enters filler territory with ever escalating power requirements to progress. This aspect killed the interest for me as well as the odd council mechanic.

The game has promise however the amount of monetisation hampers it a lot, with basic features locked behind VIP access. There is also the issue of being able to choose a female Lord but still be called 'he' and have children with women without any In game reason. The animated portraits are real nice and the overall presentation is too. But in game battles are actual poorly animated in comparison and very choppy. Overall good promise but please remove gated basic features like 'collect all'.
