The Trenitalia App makes it simpler to plan your journeys. Purchase season tickets, carnets and other tickets for Frecce, Intercity, Regional, EC and EN trains in just a few clicks, as well as your tickets for Busitalia buses in Umbria and Veneto!
Use geolocation and the Quick Purchase function to buy your tickets without delay. Pay however you like from among the many payment methods available (Credit Cards, Paypal, Google Pay, Satispay, Amazon Pay or bank transfer) or use your CartaFRECCIA/X-GO points, Bonuses, Credits or Gift Cards.
Manage your journey directly from the Home Page, check all information on the status of the train, and check in to confirm your presence on board. Simultaneously manage your Business profile alongside your personal one, by switching easily between them!
NEW: What’s more, from 30 June you can plan your journey from the first mile to the last directly from the Home Page, by entering your departure and arrival addresses! Where available, you will be shown travel solutions with multiple means of transport.

Booked a return journey on the website on desktop. I had previously used this with no issue when I had booked on desktop and saved the journeys to the app back in December. However, now, after recently booking on desktop (and luckily saving hard copies of the tickets to my computer), if I input the ticket details on the app, it shows the journeys with the wrong dates. I have no idea why this is suddenly happening.

70min late arrival and entitled to compensation - where is the compensation option in the app? Another trip (to Venice) was cancelled mid journey! They just dumped us into the station at Vincenza with one single bus for an entire trains worth of passengers so we had to find our own means of getting there. Furthermore the ticket validation option is VERY unclear and feels like it is designed to trick tourists up. There should be signs in multiple languages like nearly every other country has

This is app is designed for booking long distance journeys. It's very tedious for suburban booking. You have to provide exact times and the names of passengers. If you change your travel time you have to first create an amendment that offers trains much later than you want to travel but book it anyway and catch an earlier one. You can't pay for a train less than 10 mins before departure. Actual departure times and platforms are easy to check in the check in the app.
