"Accept contactless payments using just your smartphone with NatWest Tap to Pay on Android – no card readers, no dongles or plug-in gizmos.

With your Android smartphone, connected to your Tyl by NatWest account, your business is all set to start taking contactless payments. You can welcome debit and credit cards, Google Pay, Apple Pay and other digital wallets – just like a regular card machine, but without the expense.

No extra tech to juggle, no card reader hire fees to cough up, just your phone and your customers making happy contactless sales. Chip & PIN sales, too.

No cards worked with this app. There was no response and we tried three different cards. I tried ringing the helpline. The technical team refused to help because I am not the person who set it up. I then used the chat helpline and the assistant immediately said that the NFC is on the back of the phone with Android. It worked! This needs to be more clearly explained when setting up though. It would have saved hours of trying.

Keeps crashing and I have a quite recent phone. Unreliable for business. I am starting to look at other options
