downgrading to 1 star because all of my progress was deleted when I updated the app. I had so many songs before and now I'm back to 0. [previous review 5 stars: I'm so happy I discovered this game when I did because I was at home with a sprained ankle, and moving my fingers to the rhythm with my favourite songs really helped me stay connected to my body and alert in my mind. 100% recommend if you struggle with mental health, it's a great, simple coping skill against negative thoughts too]

Re edited on 1st March 2025 So, i got so annoyed that I uninstalled the game last time. I've recently installed it again in 2025 and guess what....its even worse. It crashes after every song I play. The app is so full of adverts that it clearly can not cope with eveything going on. At this rate, I'll be dumping it again, which is a shame as it's such a good game, and I love the tunes. I just can't keep going through this every time I play it. Please sort these bugs out.

Hi Gareth Baird. Sorry, that you've run into this issue. Could you contact us at support@beatstar.com with a few more details? - Beatstar Team

Beatstar offers high-quality songs and a smooth, easy-to-navigate interface. However, some song nodes feel irrational, making certain tracks frustrating. Rock and metal tracks, my favorites, have a much higher difficulty, making them less fun to play. Additionally, the song library feels limited, so until they expand the variety of tracks, it’s not worth spending money on. The game has potential, but more content and better balance are needed for a full experience.
