This app is heavily pay to win and predatory. The concept of the pack opening is great and the designs are very good. The rest of the app around that loop isn't all that great, I believe the wonder picks and pack opening chances are rigged. I have only ever finished sets just before or after the release of a new one. As well as the packs points you earn, being tied to each set, so you can't carry them over to the next set and use them, is really scummy. Great potential for this app.

Treat this game as a pack opening sim, nothing else. The gameplay is all luck- there's an immense reliance on coin flips, especially the one that determines which player goes first. I've decided this game is not for me. I find the battles a miserable, frustrating experience, and, ultimately, if you can't use the cards... what's the point in opening the packs? The heavy FOMO burden doesn't apply when you don't play the game, so I'm gonna save myself the trouble and shelve the game here.

The cards look beautiful, and the game plays well. There needs to be skill based matchmaking as I am continuously matched against players who have all the meta cards, or I am at a type disadvantage. The random number generation on coin flips is awful and seems to be weighted negatively. If you go first, you are at a serious disadvantage. If you draw a bad starter hand or luck goes against you, it is nearly always better to concede. The PVP is the endgame, and ultimately, it isn't fun to play.
